Job Description

Position Title: Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager

Wage: Based on Experience

We’re looking for an HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) Manager who is passionate about creating a workplace where every employee goes home safe and healthy every day.
 
This role will champion safety, environmental, and energy initiatives across our Yorkville, WI site, working closely with leadership and employees at all levels to drive a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement.

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead site health, safety, environmental, and energy programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations
- Empower employees with stop work authority and reinforce behavioral-based safety practices
- Drive audits, inspections and risk assessments while leading investigations and corrective action planning
- Partner with leadership to integrate safety into daily decision-making and champion recognition programs
- Monitor environmental performance and energy usage, recommending and implementing efficiency improvements
- Serve as the site representative with regulatory agencies and external auditors
- Enhance and deliver effective HSE training to employees and contractors

Requirements for Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of HSE/energy management experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, DNR, NFPA, and regulatory compliance
- Experience with incident investigations, audits, and reporting
- Solid data analysis skills (Excel, Power BI, or similar)
- Proven ability to lead cultural change and engage employees at all levels
- Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 preferred
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CEM, or CHMM preferred
