Job Description

Position Title: Mechanical Engineer

Wage: $75,000 - $85,000/year

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer located in Hanover Park, IL. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing housings and sheet metal parts for Printed Circuit Board sub-assemblies and the top level assemblies. Solid Works experience is a must. Experience of working with metal working machine and tooling (eg. drill press) is highly preferred. Apply now!

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products
- Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs
- Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration
- Perform engineering calculations to support design work
- Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using SolidWorks
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
- Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process
- Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget

Mechanical Engineer Qualifications:
- Adaptable
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of managing multiple projects at same time
