Job Opportunity: Manufacturing Engineer
We are currently seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team, working in close collaboration with our Manufacturing department to enhance and optimize operations. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be instrumental in identifying and resolving process, material, and equipment challenges, offering solutions to minimize downtime, boost throughput, and streamline setup procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, procure, and modify tooling, fixtures, and equipment to enhance production efficiency.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineer to refine manufacturing methods and procedures, including change order and deviation documentation.
- Conduct time studies to analyze processing times and identify areas for process enhancement.
- Provide hands-on training to manufacturing employees on new products, equipment, and process updates.
- Perform routine maintenance and document upkeep of manufacturing and testing equipment.
- Interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and data sheets to test, build, troubleshoot, and rectify equipment.
- Contribute to failure analysis, troubleshooting, and rework of non-conforming products to determine root causes.
- Conduct tests, collect data, and draft reports with the support of the Manufacturing Engineer.
- Adhere to company policies, guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Install and validate production area equipment and processes to enhance yield and reduce cycle time.
- Assist during production volume surges by following prescribed processes and procedures.
- Research replacement parts, obtain quotes, and ensure compatibility with original components.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or related field (or equivalent experience and education).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics.
- Background in practical electronics, electronic test equipment, and troubleshooting.
- Capability to formulate and execute comprehensive test plans.
- Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Competency in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective problem-solving and time management skills.
