An Accountant job in the southern Kansas City, MO area is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions. This fully onsite role requires candidates to have 3+ years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience. In this position, you will prepare monthly journal entries, complete month-end close process, and prepare and verify financial reports. This position will also assist with budget preparation, ensure documentation of all profits and losses, and collaborate with the Controller on all other responsibilities. This position offers opportunities for growth with a strong 50- employee family-owned manufacturing company.
Accountant job responsibilities include:
- Prepare journal entries
- Assist in completing the month-end close process
- Prepare and verify financial reports
- Assist with budget preparation
- Ensure documentation of profits and losses
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience, within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Proficient experience with month-end close and preparing journal entries
- Understanding of GAAP
- MS Office and ERP experience
- Strong analytical skills
