Job Description
Position Title: Assistant Controller
Salary: Based on Experience
An Assistant Controller job in the St. Francis, WI area is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions at a contract manufacturing company with sales revenue less than $10M. This role requires candidates to have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience and supervisory experience. This position will oversee a staff of two and manage areas of IT and HR and it reports to the Corporate Controller at the parent company. This position will also manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, the general ledger, cash management, budgeting and purchasing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee Accounting and purchasing team and areas of IT and HR.
- Manage AP, AR, general ledger, cash management, and budgeting.
- Coordinate annual insurance and tax audits.
- Prepare financial statements and complete financial forecasting.
- Ensure functionality of accounting software.
- Manage inventory.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Supervisory and/or management experience required.
- Excellent understanding of GAAP.
- Budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis experience.
- CPA preferred.
