Building Control Engineer Responsibilities:
- Design, configure and operate comprehensive building control systems, including fire, security, and other low voltage control sub-systems (e.g., lighting, nurse call, data networks, etc.) to meet project requirements
- Develop complex software programs
- Handle commissioning and troubleshooting to ensure proper operations
- provide detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, the field installation team and subcontractors
Qualifications for Building Control Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 3 years' experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems
- Experience in integrating low voltage building subsystems using protocols such as LON and BacNet
- Ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience
- Advanced computer skills, particularly with computer-related drafting tools
