Job Description
Position Title: Contract HR Generalist
Salary: Based on Experience
A Contract HR Generalist job in Wheeling, IL is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions. This role requires candidates to have 2+ years of human resources experience in a coordinator or generalist role within a manufacturing environment. This position will be part of a HR team of six and will focus on employee relations, assisting with recruiting and interviewing, conducting new hire orientations and employee training, and ensuring compliance to labor laws and safety procedures. This is a fully onsite role with daytime weekday hours that is scheduled to last three months or longer. A competitive pay rate is offered.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conduct new hire orientation.
- Assist with recruiting activities.
- Conduct employee training.
- Ensure compliance to safety procedures and labor laws.
- Maintain employee files.
- Coordinate workers’ compensation claims.
- Assist HR team with other HR duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Associates degree or higher in Human Resources preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources in a Coordinator or Generalist role in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of HR Labor Laws.
- Experience with paycom or other ATS software preferred.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual in Spanish or Hindi a plus.
