Are you an experienced Control Systems Engineer looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment? We have an exciting direct-hire opportunity with competitive pay based on experience. If you’re passionate about control systems design, programming, and automation, this could be the perfect role for you!
What You’ll Do:
- Design and develop control systems for a variety of environments, from off-highway to industrial applications
- Develop and evaluate alternative system solutions that meet business and technical requirements
- Design or modify electrical control enclosures and programs
- Gain proficiency in multiple programming languages and control device networks for PLCs and PCs
- Work closely with customers to define project scope and deliverables
- Travel occasionally (<10%) for field support and system modifications
What We’re Looking For:
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial controls and system integration
- Strong background in software design, programming, and control enclosure design
- Experience with PLC programming (Rockwell SLC500 to ControlLogix)
- Knowledge of NEC electric code NFPA 70 & 70E and safety systems
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic circuits, UL508A, networking protocols (EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus, EtherCAT, CAN variants)
- Familiarity with CoDeSys, Mobile PLC controllers, LabVIEW, PID loops & motion control tuning, HMI programming
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar for schematic design and panel layouts
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with battery and drive systems for off-highway use
- Knowledge of vision systems, robotics, and telematics
