Job Description
Summary: As a Controls Engineer, you will be a crucial part of our team, contributing to the design, testing, installation, and maintenance of expansive electronic equipment and machinery for manufacturing purposes. Your expertise will be pivotal in problem-solving and executing projects within established processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate control systems, components, and applications to optimize performance.
- Incorporate new manufacturing and control technologies into existing specifications.
- Analyze foundry processes, identifying components and assessing control capabilities.
- Verify control system functionality through meticulously designed test procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on layout and electrical drawings.
- Ensure the integrity of process and build data collection.
- Provide technical support across engineering disciplines.
- Build and establish cabling for PLC and computer interfaces.
- Conduct audits, troubleshoot electrical systems, and perform maintenance.
- Manage project documents and actively contribute to process enhancements.
- Utilize downtime for improving work area conditions.
- Adhere to attendance and compliance guidelines.
- Preparedness for potential overtime requirements.
Qualifications:
- Collaborative team player who embraces a positive work approach.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a preference for over three years in the field (training available).
- Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Effective external communication with tact and discernment.
- Capability to perform light physical tasks and lift up to 20 pounds if needed.
- Willingness to adhere to all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
