Job Description
Wage: $90,000 - $100,000/year
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday - Friday)
We are partnering with a small but growth-oriented manufacturer in East Moline, IL to staff a Controller position. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys building processes, improving cash flow, and partnering with leadership to on strategic initiatives to drive results. This is a full-time, direct hire position with competitive compensation and benefits package offered.
Controller Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, purchase order tracking and payment application
- Collaborate with customers to resolve billing issues and maintain strong client relationships
- Conduct regular financial and project performance analysis to identify cost drivers, profitability trends, and improvement opportunities
- Develop and maintain departmental budgets and weekly cash flow projections
- Partner with department managers to streamline billing and financial processes and reduce inefficiencies
- Analyze vendor spend, review contracts, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Support broader company initiatives including benefits administration coordination, asset tracking, insurance review, onboarding support, and proposal standardization
- Provide financial insights to leadership to support planning, budgeting, and growth decisions
Requirements for Controller:
- Proven experience in accounting, finance, or controller-level roles
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, cash flow management and financial analysis
- Experience with project-based billing and purchase order processes preferred
- Highly organized, analytical and comfortable working cross-functionally
