Wage: Based on Experience
Our client, a well-established organization in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support their Finance Director and contribute to key financial objectives. Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance Director across all accounting functions and ensure adherence to GAAP standards
- Contribute financial data, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic planning and operational decision-making
- Assist in the preparation, coordination, and consolidation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Forecast cash requirements, monitor obligations, and maintain appropriate funding levels
- Research and interpret financial data to respond to internal inquiries, including sales margin analysis and pricing impact
- Analyze inventory turns to support cost-control measures
- Perform general accounting duties and support monthly/quarterly financial processes
- Provide backup support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information at all times
Qualifications for Staff Accountant:
- Associate's degree in Accounting; Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Manufacturing or cost accounting experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience in an ERP system
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Strong reconciliation and critical-thinking ability
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team
