Wage: $18.00 - $20.00/hour
Our manufacturing client in Warrensburg, MO is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to provide vital accounting and administrative support within their finance department. This full-time, direct hire role is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely vendor payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This fully onsite role offers a competitive wage and benefit package.
Accounts Payable Clerk Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day accounting and clerical support
- Open, sort and distribute mail
- Review incoming invoices and purchase order receivers
- Match invoices with purchase orders and enter data into the accounting system
- Process invoices and download vendor files/invoices from portals
- Research, track and resolve vendor inquiries or discrepancies
- Prepare weekly check run reports for supervisor approval
- Process approved check runs (weekly and/or daily)
- Reconcile AP general ledger activity daily
- Assist accounting staff with additional tasks or projects as needed
Requirements for Accounts Payable Clerk:
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to follow established procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organizational and data entry skills
