Job Description
A Hybrid Senior Accountant job in Milwaukee, WI is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions.
This role requires candidates to have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, within a public accounting or non-profit accounting environment preferred. In this position, candidates will prepare and submit tax returns, monitor transactions for tax impacts, communicate with external tax advisors, and maintain compliance with taxable and tax-exempt debt. This position will also complete financial reporting, maintain internal controls, and assist with audit preparation. This is a hybrid role with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
Hybrid Senior Accountant job responsibilities include:
- Prepare and submit tax returns
- Monitor transactions for tax impacts
- Collaborate with external tax advisors
- Maintain compliance with taxable and tax-exempt debt
- Complete financial reporting
- Maintain internal controls
- Assist with audit preparation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, within a public accounting or non-profit environment preferred
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and statement preparation
- Experience with tax filling and tax-exempt debt
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Accounting software experience
- CPA preferred
