Position: Inside Technical Sales Engineer
Location: New Berlin, WI
- Custom Solutions: Quote custom-designed cylinders for customer-specific applications (up to 10,000 PSI).
- Market Exploration: Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest within the hydraulic industry.
- Customer Engagement: Understand customer needs, maintain and expand customer relationships, and develop prospects.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with the quality department to evaluate customer returned goods. Provide support to manufacturing engineering and the shop floor. Collaborate with other divisions within the sales function.
- Hydraulic Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Proven track record within the hydraulic industry.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Sales Mix: 25% outside sales, 75% inside technical sales (Sales Engineer).
- Versatility: Department of 1, wearing a variety of hats. Possible involvement on the floor, assisting with engineering-based questions and technical support via phone.
- Customer Focus: 25% maximum time spent on hunting for new business. Focus on maintaining accounts, with specific industry targeting (e.g., mining, baling).
- Trade Show Attendance: Opportunities to attend trade shows to network and generate leads.
- Travel: Midwest travel involved (Northern WI – Iowa to Indiana), with a few overnights.
- Work Environment: Initially office-based; potential for a remote/hybrid model for the right candidate.
- Education: Engineering degree not required.
