Position Title: LiDAR & 3D Modeling Specialist / Land Survey CAD Technician
Wage: Based on Experience

LiDAR & 3D Modeling Specialist / Land Survey CAD Technician Responsibilities:
- Static and UAS derived LiDAR data collection in both interior and exterior environments
- Assisting with setting conventional survey control for static and UAS derived LiDAR data collection efforts
- Processing of static LiDAR data sets, including point cloud registration, QA/QC checks to survey control, and general preparation for data extraction
- Processing of UAS derived imagery to orthophotography, including QA/QC checks to survey control and general preparation for data extraction
- Processing of UAS derived aerial LiDAR data sets, including trajectory processing, QA/QC checks to survey control, point cloud data classification and general preparation for data extraction
- Data extraction from orthophotography and point cloud data sets, including 2D planimetric features, 3D topography, and BIM modeling (including architectural, structural and MEP elements)
- Reviewing assigned project files for necessary materials and information to carry out project scope and drafting tasks.
- Providing thorough analysis of field notes, legal descriptions, title easements, design plans, utility plans and construction layout notes.
- Developing an understanding of surveying concepts, our company business and how surveying is integrated into plans and projects, Transportation Plats, Condominium Plats, Subdivision Plats, legal descriptions and other survey exhibits.
- Developing an understanding of surveying concepts, our company business and how surveying is integrated into plans and projects.
Requirements for LiDAR & 3D Modeling Specialist / Land Survey CAD Technician:
- Associate’s degree in a related field or a Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying from an accredited school preferred
- 5+ years of experience
- Knowledge of static and aerial LiDAR data collection, processing and data extraction preferred
- Knowledge of basic surveying methods, practices and techniques preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency in MicroStation, TopoDOT, Leica Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS (or similar), Pix4Dmapper (or similar), and Revit (or similar) preferred
- Attention to detail and self-initiative
- Strong organizational skills
- Some travel required
