MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Are you a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a job that provides variety each day? Our client, a leading company in the Metal Fabrication industry, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of their products, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards while remaining cost-effective.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • A great attitude and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent, or at least 3 years of college with a relevant major.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and a passion for process improvement.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Familiarity with standard metal fabrication concepts, practices, and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Design Services: Provide comprehensive design services for the multiple divisions, contributing to the development of innovative and efficient products.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with all departments to ensure the accuracy of prints and accommodate customer product changes.
  • Lean and Quality Initiatives: Support Lean Manufacturing and quality (ISO 9001-2015) initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Manufacturing Support: Assist the manufacturing team with technical guidance, design improvements, quality enhancements, and process recommendations.
  • Production Equipment: Participate in programming for production equipment to streamline manufacturing processes.
  • CAD Expertise: Create and modify 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks Modeling Software.
  • Design Review: Participate in design reviews, providing valuable feedback on design concepts, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Customer Collaboration: Collaborate with valued customers on new and existing products, building strong relationships.
