Job Description
Position Title: Maintenance Electrician – 2nd + 3rd Shift
Salary: Based on Experience
A Direct Hire Maintenance Electrician job in Janesville, WI is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions, a division of QPS Employment Group.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for all electrical maintenance, repair, and fabrication.
- Maintains, installs, rebuilds, and repairs equipment per specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, PLC's controllers, lighting controls, and electrical motors in a production environment.
- Maintains cost control for equipment and supplies for budget.
- Stay current on electrical codes and OSHA regulations.
- Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials.
- Ensure safety rules and regulations are being followed.
Requirements:
- Some post-high school education or training is beneficial.
- 2-3 year certificate from college/ technical school preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally with management and with fellow employees.
- Must have the ability to bend, lift, carry, push, and pull varying weights up to 50 pounds, sometimes in awkward positions.
- The job requires extensive walking, climbing, and some crawling.
- Must be able to demonstrate sustained attention to detail when working with diagrams, prints, and manuals.
