Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to drive continuous improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project management, from scope development to project implementation. Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product family teams to identify opportunities for productivity improvement in yield, direct labor utilization, and overhead cost reduction.
  • Lead and oversee the entire lifecycle of continuous improvement projects.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to establish efficient processes, tooling, equipment, and quality control methods.
  • Create detailed operator Standardized Work instructions in collaboration with operators, supervisors, and management to ensure sustained productivity improvements.
  • Play a key role in the Operator Training Process related to Standardized Work.
  • Provide technical support for equipment purchase, upgrades, plant layout, and feasibility studies.
  • Manage the disposition of non-conforming products.
  • Conduct cost/benefit/risk analyses as needed.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including training team members and evaluating outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Production Planner to estimate costs and lead times for non-standard products.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to thrive in a Lean organization.
  • Hands-on management style with strong analytical skills, using tools like statistics, Microsoft Excel, and Pareto analysis.
  • Effective communication that considers multiple viewpoints, builds trust, and fosters positive relationships, even in disagreements.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and proactive in seeking necessary changes to drive business progress.
