Job Description


The 3rd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor role is centered on efficiently completing the manufacturing plan, managing costs, and fostering associate engagement. This position requires both leadership and coaching skills to oversee the manufacturing team, which includes Production Personnel and Production Leads. Below is a breakdown of the responsibilities and qualifications associated with this role:

Responsibilities:
  • Design and approve daily and weekly production plans.
  • Lead, coach, and engage the production team.
  • Ensure Operators and technicians fulfill obligations, tasks, and duties.
  • Coordinate manufacturing priorities with production leads.
  • Communicate delays in planning accomplishments to scheduling/warehouse/Operations Manager.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Provide necessary equipment to operators and technicians.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers to maintain the Quality Management System and processes.
  • Uphold safety procedures and plant safety.
  • Lead safety and training program meetings and classes.
  • Communicate with other departments for daily plan completion.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance department to ensure operational machines.
  • Assist in interviewing new associates.
  • Promptly communicate HR issues to the management team.
  • Provide leads with work orders for daily runs.
  • Perform tasks and projects assigned by Operations Manager.
  • Monitor efficiencies and productivity using data collection systems.
  • Attend relevant improvement training.
  • Coach and mentor leads and associates in continuous improvement and 5s methodologies.
  • Enforce compliance with company policies.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.

Specification/Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling for a full 8-hour day.
  • Strong management and supervisory skills.
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent computer skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to identify issues and propose necessary solutions.
