As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in our machine design process, utilizing Autodesk Inventor to create solutions for a diverse range of machines with varying costs, from $3,000 to $1.5 million.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers (including mechanical and electrical) to contribute to the entire machine design process, gaining exposure from initial drawing to finished product.
- Utilize Autodesk Inventor to design machines that cater to a wide cost spectrum, ensuring efficient and effective solutions.
- Apply ERP experience, preferably Epicor, to streamline design and manufacturing processes.
- Exhibit proficiency in blueprint readings, translating technical drawings into innovative designs.
- Embrace a hands-on approach and a willingness to get involved in tinkering and experimentation.
- Engage in minimal travel, with flexibility to visit customer sites during machine installations, offering valuable insights into the real-world application of your designs.
- Be an integral part of a cohesive team of 11 professionals, consisting of mechanical and electrical engineers, a Chief Engineer, and an Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering, demonstrating a strong academic foundation.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor for machine design.
- Any ERP experience, particularly Epicor, would be highly advantageous.
- Solid understanding of blueprint readings, enabling effective translation of technical drawings.
- Enthusiasm for hands-on work and a proactive, tinkerer mindset.
- Openness to travel for customer site visits and machine installations.
- Strong team player, capable of contributing effectively within a diverse engineering team.
- Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply, as are those with up to 10 years of experience.
