The client is seeking to hire a Mechanical Drafter to join our manufacturing and engineering team. This a great opportunity for someone who wants to apply their creativity and skills in utilizing manual methods and/or computer-aided drafting programs to translate design information. The Mechanical Drafter will work with a variety of individuals within the company and is ideally an excellent communicator.
Responsibilities & Duties
· Creates and maintains multi-level bills of materials (BOM) based off of documents created by engineering and procurement
· Actively engages in cross functional communication to ensure accuracy of assembly parts lists
· Interacts with Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing
· Assist in ongoing project do standardize and unify design document standards
· Work closely with Supervisor and other departments of operations to understand implementation of desired changes when processing change requests
Job Skills & Qualifications
· Must be self-motivated with outstanding decision-making skills
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple duties/projects at one time
· Ability to work in a team environment and also independently with little supervision
· Proficient using PC, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office
