Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Understand machine requirements through project kick-off activities, interfacing with the customer, the design envelope, manufacturing process and material capabilities, tolerance stack up conditions, styling goals and how these drive every surface and feature of every part
- Create mathematically verified concepts to resolve packaging challenges
- Evaluate and select components for the products
- Evaluate material, stress/strain, vibration constraints that effect design and provide that information resource to teammates
- Redesign standard products or product line expansions, improving quality and productivity, while reducing costs
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures
- Wide degree of creativity and latitude in problem solving and reacting to changing circumstances
- A clear understanding of the science and physics behind component and system interaction constraints
