Are you an engineer with a passion for turning concepts into reality? Join our Client as a Product Development & Design Engineer II and contribute to exciting projects.

Role Overview:

In this position, you'll use your engineering skills to assist in development projects, ensuring a seamless transition from ideas to tangible products.

Key Responsibilities:

Design:
  • Develop product designs and select materials for various projects.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and utilize Finite Element Analysis as needed.
  • Analyze component and machine costs.
  • Familiarize yourself with industry and government standards.
  • Create accurate models and drawings using CAD software.
  • Apply project management skills, as well as expertise in hydraulics and electrical systems.

Documentation:
  • Understand manufacturing standards for components and subassemblies.
  • Assist in creating clear machine documentation.
  • Review drawings and perform various design-related tasks.

Administrative Function:
  • Compile information for Engineering Change Notices and maintain Bill of Materials.

Product Support:
  • Provide production support for design and manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate with Product Support and Quality Assurance to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the main engineering contact for specific product lines.

Product Testing:
  • Collaborate with Research & Development to create effective test plans.
  • Analyze test results and initiate necessary engineering actions.

Communication:
  • Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external consultants.
  • Share technical knowledge at relevant forums.

Project Management:
  • Collaborate with different departments and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Lead smaller projects and provide technical guidance.

Safety:
  • Prioritize safety in all job functions and report any concerns.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education and Experience:
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Possess at least 3 years of Product Development & Design Engineering experience, ideally within manufacturing.
  • Ability to collaborate within a global engineering team.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Computer Aided Design, both 2D and 3D.
  • Experience with relevant software and methodologies.

Interpersonal Skills:
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical ideas effectively.

Additional Requirements:
  • For candidates with limited work experience, academic achievements may be considered.
