The Operations Manager will oversee daily manufacturing operations, manage production supervisors, establish and reinforce safety protocols, and ensure efficient inventory control. Reporting to the General Manager, this role plays a crucial part in driving organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for financial and operational functions. Collaborating with the management team, the Operations Manager contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies and practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage change effectively.
- Implement quality assurance programs.
- Research and adopt new technologies for efficiency improvement.
- Set and review budgets, manage costs, and monitor financial performance.
- Oversee inventory, distribution, and facility layout.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and corporate functional areas.
- Ensure manufacturing safety guidelines are followed.
- Motivate production workers to achieve manufacturing goals and enhance productivity.
- Monitor mechanical equipment for safe and efficient operation.
- Manage all aspects of manufacturing, including machinery, assembly areas, packaging, quality control, and shipping/receiving.
- Work with the General Manager to plan human resources usage and establish vendor relationships.
- Assist in recruitment, hiring, training, and personnel processes.
Education and Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Labor Management, Business, or equivalent.
- 10-15 years of successful production/operations career with a track record of achievement.
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Construction knowledge and ability to understand design prints preferred.
- Strong computer aptitude.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
