Job Description

The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing purchasing strategies, negotiating procurement deals, and managing vendors to ensure efficient procurement of equipment, goods, and services. They collaborate across all departments, assist with forecasting market trends, ensure system costs are current, provide quotation assistance to sales, and issue clear and accurate requirements documentation. This role involves analyzing costs, mitigating risks, and determining optimal delivery quantities and timings. The Procurement Manager oversees the replenishment of all inventories, warehouse management, inventory control, material handling, and transportation of domestic and international procurements.

Duties and Essential Functions
•  The primary responsibilities of this position are:
•  Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies aimed at streamlined processes and reducing costs and/or controlling costs
•  Craft procurement negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
•  Assess, manage and mitigate vendor and supplier risks
•  Maintain and/or implement purchasing and recordkeeping systems to ensure accurate costs, inventory counts, status of open purchase orders, and part numbers
•  Provide timely communication regarding the status of ordered goods and services, especially as they relate to fulfilment of customer orders
•  Develop weekly customer order report for weekly operations meetings
•  Attend weekly operations meetings, providing status updates on procurements as required
•  Maintain relationships with current suppliers while continuously seeking for additional reliable vendors and suppliers
•  Determine quantity of and timing of deliveries
•  Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand including establishing and maintaining the appropriate safety stock
•  Perform month-end duties, including inventory reports and manual costing on shipped orders
•  Assist with correcting BOMs to ensure accurate costing, set up routings, and perform shop order updates and closures

REQUIRED:
Education: Associate, technical degree, or field-related experience demonstrating a strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude. Prefer Bachelors Degree. 
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory, product sourcing, procurement, or purchasing management in a manufacturing environment.
Skills: Previous experience with ECI ERP systems, specifically Macola
