Position: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Summary:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in client’s operations, contributing to various key areas of our business. Your responsibilities will encompass product configuration, customer interaction and problem-solving, ERP engineering project liaison, product and packaging development, and quality management. We are seeking an individual who can think on their feet, collaborate with customers to solve unique problems, and ensure that our products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  1. Product Configuration: Utilize 2D AutoCAD software to process drawings for manufacturing our innovative products.
  2. Optimization Expert: Work your magic with Lantek nesting and machining software to optimize laser cutting and CNC programming.
  3. Problem Solver: Provide expert advice and consultation to customers, helping them solve unique problems using our product lines.
  4. Communication Guru: Collaborate with Production and Customer Service to ensure they fully understand the unique features of our custom products.
  5. Project Management: Take the lead on key Engineering/Technical ERP system elements, including creating and maintaining quality configurators, developing and maintaining BOMs and MOMs, and refining processes.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Be an active participant in Value Stream Mapping, documenting shop procedures, and driving continuous process improvement projects.
  7. Quality Control: Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) programs and quality control processes.

Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, you should have:
 
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • A degree in a related field
  • Three years of experience

Scope:
This is a full-time position that offers exciting challenges and a dynamic work environment. You'll have the opportunity to interact with customers, service providers, and our team during normal business hours.
