Now Hiring: Project Engineer – Automation
Location: Iowa (Onsite to start, Hybrid potential)
Salary: $70,000 - $110,000 DOE + $2,500-$4,000 Bonus Opportunity
Travel: Up to 25% to customer sites
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift (Some weekends during startups)
Are you an experienced Project Engineer with a passion for automation and control systems? We are seeking a driven professional to design, program, and commission automation systems while working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
What You’ll Do:
Design & Engineering: Develop PLC programming, operator interfaces, panel documentation, and system drawings
Customer Collaboration: Work directly with clients to define and meet project requirements
System Startup & Commissioning: Ensure automation systems are installed and functioning correctly
Project Management: Prepare proposals, coordinate with CAD teams, and oversee panel assembly
Tracking & Documentation: Monitor project progress and assist with invoicing
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) (Preferred)
Strong knowledge of automation systems and panel design
Ability to commute or relocate to Iowa (Relocation Assistance Available!)
Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel up to 25%
