Quality Manager Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, maintain and update a total quality system dedicated to conformance to customer requirements and the enhancement of company image and reputation in the marketplace as a top quality manufacturer
- Manage quality systems, inspection, analysis, corrective action, preventative action and product safety related to control of manufacturing process
- Direct activities of the Quality Department, insuring that the appropriate skills, equipment, and training are in place to support company quality initiatives and objectives
- Coach, mentor, train, motivate and guide associates involved in the department processes
- Review and verify team member training levels and competence for required work
- Review training levels and competencies for required work with team members and develop training plans to address any deficiencies and review progress towards training and development goals
Requirements for Quality Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in all phases of quality assurance and control
- Certification as a Quality Engineer preferred
- Supervisory education
- Five or more years of experience in Quality Engineering, including demonstrated success in a leadership role with supervisory experience preferred. AIAG, IATF 16949 Knowledge
- Overview of OEM Requirements desired
