Job Description


Quality Systems & Data Engineer Supports the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with Aerospace & Defense specifications and company requirements. Develop reporting for operational objectives by understanding business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements. Support strategic decisions at a macro and micro level business perspective.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
•    Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures to support and maintain AS9100 and Nadcap compliance.
•    Create, modify, and maintain informative and repeatable reports, dashboards, and/or other reporting outputs across a range of data bases to highlight relevant business trends, improvement opportunities and KPI tracking. Maintain integrity and quality of delivered reports.
•    Interface with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers to meet company goals, customer requirements, and resolve quality issues.
•    Provide engineering support to optimize workflows and troubleshoot problems.
•    Participate in process improvement activities. Support root cause analysis and the development of corrective actions, administering training as necessary.
•    Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
•    Assist in the preparation, execution, and completion of internal & external quality audits.
•    Interpret, evaluate, and interpret operational data for strategic decision-making.
•    Lead applicable on-going training sessions and continuous process improvement programs; participate in periodic testing and performance evaluations.
•    Develop written work instructions, maintain records, and control revision history related to stored procedure and report creation.
•    Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements and Skills:
•    Engineering / technical degree or equivalent experience required.
•    Working knowledge of Six Sigma methodology, Lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools. ASQ certification preferred.
•    Manufacturing experience required. Special Processing experience preferred. Experience in quantitative data analysis, measurement systems, and reporting methodologies required.
•    In-depth understanding of Quality Management Systems, specifically ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100:2016 strongly preferred.
•    Knowledgeable of the requirements affiliated with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and First Article Inspection (FAI).
•    Familiarity with conducting Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and providing technical assistance in problem resolution.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills, technical report & procedure writing skills, problem solving & critical thinking skills, and organization skills.
•    Engineering drawing and specification interpretation.
•    Experience in data analytics, database structures, theories, principles, and practices strongly preferred.
•    Ability to write stored procedures, triggers, user functions, views, and indexes.
•    Experience designing and implementing reports.
•    Experience with Microsoft Power BI, XML, Telerik, and Bluestreak preferred.

Reports To: The Quality Systems Engineer reports to the Quality Management, interfacing with the IT Management as needed.
