Salary: Based on Experience
A Staff Accountant job in the southern Milwaukee area is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions. This newly created role requires candidates to have an Associate or Bachelor degree in Accounting with 5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. In this position, you will complete month-end close, support the AP/AR Specialist and Financial Analyst, generate monthly financial reports, and ensure financial data is entered properly. This position will also prepare ad hoc reports and assist in the processing of sales and use tax. This is primarily an onsite role with the ability to work one day remotely after initial training.
Staff Accountant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Complete month-end close process.
- Prepare journal entries.
- Generate monthly financial reports.
- Complete bank and account reconciliations.
- Support the AP/AR Specialist and Financial Analyst.
- Assist with processing sales and use tax.
- Assist with special projects.
Staff Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Accounting preferred and 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and the General Ledger.
- Experience with bank and account reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
