Job Description
Position Title: Staff Accountant
Salary: Based on Experience
A Staff Accountant job in the Oak Creek, WI area is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions. Due to company growth, this salaried, full-time, direct hire position is being added to work with the accounting team. This is a fully on-site role that offers a competitive salary and benefits package in an employee-owned company.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Journal entry preparation
- Assist in month end close and reconcile GL accounts
- Develop cost analysis reports and analysis of variances
- Assist in the setting of pricing by collecting data to determine costs of raw materials, inventory and labor
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining AR
- Prepare biweekly payroll processing and maintain time and attendance for hourly employees
- Assist in department projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or related major is required; Coursework in cost accounting preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience is required
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office including Excel spreadsheets
