Position Title: Strategic Sourcing Analyst
Wage: Based on Experience
Contract: 1 Year
Location: Milwaukee, WI
As a Strategic Sourcing Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in leading data management and quantitative analyses within our Strategic Sourcing Organization. Reporting to the Applied Technology and Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for creating analytical tools, conducting data analysis, and providing strategic recommendations to enhance our sourcing processes. This role will require strong proficiency in tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform to develop innovative solutions and streamline processes.
Strategic Sourcing Analyst Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of data collection and analysis for assigned commodities/services
- Conduct insightful industry and market research to support sourcing strategy development and financial/performance reporting for SSO
Participate in sourcing strategy formulation, supplier selection, and management processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sourcing strategies, coordinate RFQs, administer negotiation processes, and analyze supplier performance metrics
- Identify and pursue Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction opportunities in alignment with sourcing strategy
- Contribute to internal and joint supplier/unit teams to optimize supply chain operations and drive cost efficiencies
Requirements for Strategic Sourcing Analyst:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or relevant field
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, analytics, or related field
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
- Data manipulation, summarization and investigation skills
- Prioritization, project management, and attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
- Analytical experience with tools such as MS Power Query, MS Power BI, MS Access, SQL, etc. preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power BI is a plus
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP
- Familiarity with sourcing and supply chain management concepts preferred
